Porta Nigra is situated in Trier, south-east Germany. It dates back to 200 AD when the town belonged to the Roman Empire. It had been made of grey stone but in the Middle ages the stone turned black, and people began to call the gate Porta Nigra ("Black gate").

Of course, I won't! So, this is my photo. This year I've participated in summer courses. So, I spent 24 days (from the 3rd to the 26th of August) in Germany, in Trier.
There were one-day tours as well. And I've already uploaded some photos, like the one from Bonn and the one from Metz (this is in German, in French the city is called Mess, and I don't know how I should call it in English).

Asya, don't let me die ignorant! Is it your photo When were you there? Was it last summer? Were you there on a programme? Was it a one-day tour when you were a course participant in the study programme you talked about before?
