Bulgaria is a small country with a lot of traditions. It is a good place to visit because the climate here is soft and nature is bright. The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia. Sofia is a historical and modern center of a country.
Bulgaria is famous by its rose oil that perfumers add in different sorts of cosmetic such as soap, shampoo, shower gel and so on. Tourists buy it in order to present it their relatives and friends.
In Bulgaria you can find a lot of different clothes with pattern. Usually it is red and green pattern on white long shirt. It seems like traditional Russian clothes but there are some typical Bulgarian symbols of patterns. In many villages tourists can buy it and I won’t say that it is expensive.
Such notion as “Greek salad” that we cook every holiday and not only holiday had some changes in Bulgarian cookery. First of all Bulgarians think that this kind of salad is typical Bulgarian and cant understand why do people call it “Greek”. Then Bulgarian salad is a little bit different than Greek, Bulgarians grate cheese instead of cutting it into pieces. They believe that it brings more taste in this course. Any way the national course is fried fish with lemon and smash potato. But if you are not a vegetarian, you will find a great number of traditional meat courses, for example – roast lamb with vegetables and of course wine.
Some words about wine. It is a national product and we cant imagine Bulgaria without it as Greek without its olives and wine, Spain without its olives and wine, Italia without its pizza and wine.
There is a proverb about Bulgarian wine that it was created before the God created Bulgaria and its inhabitants. Is it truth or false we don’t know but that fact that Bulgarians produce their wine during hundred and hundred years is true. Every month they sell about 1 000 bottles of wine.
Bulgarian ceramic dishes – is one more traditional symbol of this country. Every plate is unique and you wont find the same.
These are the symbols of this country and my advice to you is to visit it somehow because the landscape and culture are very picturesque.
