The problem of choice is one of the greatest problems for a human being. Think about moments when you visit some shops and try to buy something (I don’t mean food or drink). Or, for example, imagine a girl in a clothing store. Of course, I’m talking not only a ... Read more »

It is said that extremes meet. But is it really so? Some time ago I realized that this is not true. Imagine a situation that you meet a person, make friends with him and start learning him. He also learns you. It is like reading a new book. Every page of it is like a side of the character. So firstly, it is very interesting for you learn this new friend. You see th ... Read more »

Teaching is an ancient, sacred and great profession. Unfortunately, people who teach don't correspond to this profession very often. I want to say that it's not easy to teach. Teaching is a very complicated process. To teach means to educate, to bring up, but not only this ... Read more »

So the question has been already raised in the title. The answer seems to be very simple, but still. From the first days of our life and till the moment of death we live in society. Different people are around us in every sphere of our life. This very society makes us who we are. And then while growing-up, we shape it. It's a kin ... Read more »

My dear group-mate Assa has already written about the theme of suicide, but I want to tell you some other things about this theme. Probably, some of them have something in common with the facts from Assa's blog. So, as it's written in the title, the following facts about suicide are connected only with my personal opinion, thoughts and experience.

Fact 1: there are no real, objective or worthwhile re ... Read more »

"A friend in need is a friend indeed!" Could you name all those people whom you can call "friend"? Then count them. As far as I can judge, there cannot be many friends. If a person says, "I have many friends," it means that he/she has kith, but not friends. The same thing is with the best friends. There can be only one best friend, because "the best" means "the only one who is the best".

So who are our friends? Are they people who know almost everything ab ... Read more »

Every day we do many kinds of activity. Almost our every step in life has its own goal. It doesn't matter whether this goal is global or just a senseless one. When we are children, our goals differ from adults' aims or intentions. To succeed we must have some traits of character, knowledge, skills, acquirements. It means that on our way to every goal we must achieve something. And the last and the largest achievement is a goal itself.
But sometimes it's very difficult to achieve all our ... Read more »

A man with a white cane stands in the junction. A youngster comes to this man and asks:
- May I help you to cross the road, sir?
- No, thanks.
- But...you are an invalid, aren't you?
- No, sir. I'm a human being with a disability, - answers the blind man and leaves.

What is volunteering? Who's a volunteer? Are volunteering and charity the same thing? Why have I written the word "волонтёр" and set it against the word "volunteer"?
Volunteering is a well-known phenomenon in European countries. It means helping people and doing any kinds of jobs that are valuable for the community. But! This activity is not paid. Volunteering has different forms. Some of them are environmental conservancy, patriotis ... Read more »

Some years ago I heard one phrase: "Do not beware of your friends, the most terrible thing they can do is to betray you; do not beware of your enemies, the most terrible thing they can do is to kill you; but beware of apathetic people, even because of their silent consent there are treachery and assassination in our world." I can say, that this thought will exist in my mind all my life.
If you think a little ab ... Read more »
