Death Note ( デスノート - Desu Noto ) is originally Japanese manga created by Tsugumi Oba and drawn by Takeshi Obata I was very interested in such a fact as the Japanese name "Desu Noto" which is re-coded into the English phrase "Death Note" and which is represented with the help of Katakana symbols (a Japanese alphabet used for writing words from other languages). It isn't translated from Japanese to Russian.
The foundation of the story is a philosophical idea: "Is it possible to achieve the good for some people by killing others?"According to Wikipedia Tsugumi invented the original story in which he shows what would be with our world if man could kill some people with impunity to improve the life of others. Oba considers the reaction of the killer and his motives and the society's response to the actions of the murderer. But...only a few people know that F.M. Dostoevsky in his "Crime and Punishment" already stated this idea. Some of the phrases from his novel went into the text of "Death Note". I think it is somewhat dishonest.
As an anime-serial Death Note started in October, 2006 on the TV channel "Nippon TV". Also Desu Noto was re-made as a movie. The first movie was called "Death Note", the second film was called "The Last name" and the third movie was called "L.Change the world"

Yagami, who found the Note, got a chance to change the world fast and with impunity. He began to administer justice killing criminals. But Light's triumph wasn't too long, because the interpol was interested in strange deaths of criminals and started an investigation together with the whole world and the most demanded detective who was hiding under a pseudonym and was famous as L begins a real war with Light who has been called "Kira" by the time. So, the story of Death Note begins with an opposition of two geniuses, the best Japan's pupil on the one hand and the best detective on the other hand.
What about plot, I think it's enough ) In my opinion, you will be interested the rather unusual rules of Death Note. So: ∙ The person, whose name will be written in Note, will die. ∙ Note won't work if the writer don't know the name of the person,who should die. So people with same names won't die. ∙ If the cause of death was written pending of 40 seconds after writing name. and so it will happen. ∙ If the cause of death wasn't stated, after 40 seconds the person will die because of heart attack. ∙ After writing the cause of death, there is more 400 seconds ( 6 minutes 40 seconds ) for writing of the circumstances of death. ∙ The person will forget everything connected with Death Note after renunciation of it. I liked this anime from the first series. Also sometimes when I think about how cruel a man can be towards other human beings, I feel the necessity of such a note or the punishment by death in our counrty.
Death Note is very popular in our country, I must admit. If a person watched exactly this anime as his first one, it will be hard to persuade him to watch something else without having him saying that thу new-watched anime sucks. Also when there were elections recently, most of my anime fans-friend wrote on the voting papers "Against everyone. Kira forever" or added a new candidate, Yagami Lait (Kira again) and put a tick near him. The influence is great. Sometimes it is so annoying.
To tell the truth, I haven't decided what my point of view is. One the one hand I agree with you, but one the other hand we should also take humane treatment into account.
