Christine Pereira is the owner of Design Cakes, a Kearny based company dedicated to providing stylish and elegant custom cakes for brides of NJ and NY. She took time off her busy schedule to give me an inside perspective of her work. Their wedding cakes are miniature masterpieces that combine great taste, exceptional design skills and flawless craftsmanship. Her goal for each wedding is to create a cake that is a true reflection of the couple's personalities as well as the theme and color palette of the wedding. It has often been my experience that I come across custom cakes with a tendency to look 'gimmicky' as though they belong at a circus or fun fair. The topic about wedding is very actual for me now))To be honest there are so much extraordinary and absolutely extraordinary wedding cakes, that the choice becomes more difficult than it was when our parents got married)
Maybe I'm too practical and old-fashioned but it seems to me a real waste of money to buy such a cake. I know that the wedding is very special but I would definitely prefer to spend this money on something useful. P.S. anyway, the cake is heavenly))
