Iranian nuclear ambitions. Iran announced its intentions to broaden its nuclear program. According to Mohhamed Hatami, the country has its own uranic reserves and Iran starts production and processing of nuclear fuel. What for? Uranium enrichment has two aims: production of primary uranium fuel for nuclear reactors and production of highly enriched uranium for nuclear weapons. Nuclear reactors are already supplied by Russia with nuclear fuel, that’s why there is no need for Iran to enrich uranium. Iranian representatives say that Iranian nuclear program is running for electricity production. But it can be justified neither by practical nor by economic viewpoint. That leads to the conclusion, that uranium enrichment factory is used for production of nuclear weapons. Where does Iran get nuclear technologies from? It really takes much time and money to enrich uranium and Iran had no such industrial capacities and no permission to start the production. Iran had to buy necessary equipment secretly. The most obvious suppliers may be Russia and China. But their collaboration was transparent and restricted. Other allies may be Pakistan or North Korea. How can we get whether the nuclear weapons are produced or not? Many new nuclear countries are in a hurry to get hold of nuclear technologies and do not take into consideration the equipment for prevention nuclear emissions. Analyzing these emissions helps the advanced countries to find out on which stage Iranian nuclear weapons profgram is. Is any independent inspection possible? Iran has signed a nonproliferation treaty. The use of nuclear weapons is controlled by IAEA, which is a part of UNO. That means that IAEA must have both a directly or remote access to all nuclear objects. But Iran can follow the Korean example and just leaves the treaty.
