The USA criticize Iran's nuclear program The US have accused Iran of uranium enrichment that Teheran is planning to use in its nuclear program. Department of State representative, Richard Baucher said, that Washington has grave misgivings concerning Iran allegedly peaceful nuclear program. He regards the construction of a new reactor as a pretext for Iranian weapon-grades nuclear program. The US consider Iran a terrorism-supporting country and it was even numbered among the Axis of Evil alongside with Iraq and North Korea. Still IAEA representative reports that Iran declaration concerning a rapid increase of nuclear program wasn't a surprise for the US, while Iran has already announced its high aims concerning nuclear program that presupposes total fuel cycle. President Khatami said that Iran possesses its own uranium reserves and uranium mines, and that some production facilities have already been built in the country. This unexpected declaration will undoubtedly harass the US that have already expressed their anxiety about the delivery of technology from Russia. Teheran insists on peaceful nuclear production, though the US have already promulgated satellite pictures of Iranian nuclear facilities. The president didn't mention the fact whether this declaration can lower significance of the nuclear fuel delivery arrangement between Russia and Iran. Meanwhile Iranian Minister of Defense, Ali Shamhami said that the country has already developed composite solid propellant technology that can be used for medium-range missile, TOW, surface-to-air and air-to-surface missile. That also gives a possibility to dispute a statement that Iranian nuclear ambitions are of peaceful nature.
