Fifty-six puppies found inside van at Dublin Port

Customs officers have rescued 56 puppies which were found in a van (фургон) at Dublin Port.
The van was stopped and searched on Thursday in a joint operation between Irish police, customs and the Dublin Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA)
The puppies have been taken into quarantine. A 46-year-old man was arrested but has since been released (освобождены).
On Tuesday, 36 puppies were seized (конфисковать) by police in north Dublin.
They were discovered in two cars on the Malahide Road.
Police believe the puppies, which included cocker and springer spaniels, Labradors and Jack Russell terriers, were being sent to the UK from puppy farms in the Republic of Ireland.
Animal welfare officers said they suspected (подозревать) the animals, which were found in boxes, were being trafficked (привезены) for sale in the UK.
Two men were arrested at the scene.
Officers from the Dublin Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (DSPCA) took the puppies into quarantine and secure accommodation following their discovery.
Some of the puppies were found to be suffering from a number of treatable conditions including mange (чесотка), ear mites (клещи), fleas (блохи), eye infections and parasitic infections.
The DSPCA said the puppies would not be available for new homes until inspectors had concluded their investigations. (расследование)

Who found the puppies?
Where did they find the puppies?
What kinds of breeds were found?
Why can't puppies find a new home?
What kinds of diseases were dogs infected?

In my opinion it is terrible to keep a lot of animals in miserable living conditions. People should look after their pets. But these people just earned money and didn’t think about puppies. I think these people deserve punishment.

I really admire the brilliant covert operation of Irish police, customs and DSPCA tongue I think there wasn't any real threat for puppies. They would gain new master and home anyway. I wish our police have nothing to do, but catching the "puppy-dealers" biggrin

I agree with all your opinions. That's a cruel, awful and evil way to make money.

We are responsible for those we have tamed! angry We must protect our little friends! But instead it, people make money from them angry
We must not accept abuse and violence against people and animals.

sad It is known that all animals are in our hand. But we don't understand it. In my opinion, people are very cruel. Nowadays there many people who really take care of animals. Moreover, many of them only talk that they help poor animals, but it isn't. I am shocked!!!!

Oh,it's awful. I can't understand how people may treat animals in such way. These people only think about how they can make money. That's all. They don't think about humanity.

Why do people do that with animals? I feel so sorry for the puppies, because they are not to blame! Although if people act in this way and with human children, we can only talk about the absence of human morality that does not adorn them. dry

Nowadays we can hardly find a person who treats animals in a good way in such situations. People only think about money. They don't care about animals. It's a pity.
