People in Starozhilvo. What are they like?.
We can meet different people everywhere. Starozhilovo isn't an exception. Some people are very kind and helpful. They will help you any time. They can even leave their work and visit you when you need it. Most people are the youth so there are a lot of parties and discos in Starozhilovo. Actually people are very happy, they like to have fun with their families and friends during holidays. But most of the time they work and do things they like doing. While children study at school and adults work, old people go to church, sit on the benches and discuss different events, new people. Unfortunately, not only good people live in Starozhilovo, bad people live there as well. Some people drink too much alcohol. But mostly they do it during holidays. Also, people in Starozhilovo are religious. They go to church on Easter or other religious holidays, the priest can always listen to you and try to give a peace of advice. There are a lot of well-qualified doctors in Starozhilovo. They keep other people healthy. As you can see, people are very good in Starozhilovo!
Dear Julian, it had been a very long time not talking to you, your good and critcial article deserves every politicians, church or non- church leaders, laymen, journalists and NGO peoples etc etc to read it. You have a very in-depth understandings and analysis of those very complicated power dynamics in the context of the faith seeking. Except Ho Pak Leung, I know the other two candidates personally and observed them with a more inside knowledge and life experiences, so happened, they are also CUHK alumni. From my humble knowledge and understanding, the " faith " being revealed by Rev. So as you mentioned with this particular case,to my judgement,is a distorted picture of Christian Faith, NOT the authentic one. No one in the world, that they can able to claim themselves as represent the true and unfailing picture of Christ's love, unconditional acceptances and hope. Continue your good writing and very thought provoking journey. Take care, Mau Chi wang繆熾宏 96441260, mauchiwang@netvigator.com
Yes, it was the Day of Starozhilovo. It's a kind of a festival. People usually celebrate it in the beginning of June. People gather at the stadium. The local government congratulate them and wish health and happiness. Then people can watch a performance: some people sing, young people dance russian folk dances. There is usually a fair near the stadium so people buy different souvenirs. People in Starozhilovo are very happy this day. By the way, I think there are not any local saying in Starozhilovo. Of course people can use some proverbs in their speech but it's spread only among old people.
Isn't it a local public event? What is it called? When does it take place? Why do local people participated in it? Do you also go there? So, it seems to be a great local tradition!
Hi! One question - how do people in Starozhilovo dress in different seasons? Is there any special trend or pattern that give them out as Starozhilovites? One more thing - about the language! Are there any local sayings or speech formulas that are typical of Starozhilovites? For example, in Logovo, where I live, people tend to overuse the phrase 'Хозяин - Барин' that is applied to any situation in which the locals don't want to give any advice or support. For me it was the sign of local character, people are rather selfish and unwelcoming.
