Our world is viewed as a place where people try to believe in supernatural. The supernatural has always been part of our conscious mind. People always want to understand everything they can’t explain. Without it we are never humans. One aspect of man’s creativity is religion. It shows peoples power to go beyond the immediate circumstances and crises of their life. Religion and faith are two interconnected things. We can explain faith in term of social needs and individual psychology. We can see, fell this phenomenon but can’t understand. When you have faith, it means you have an intellectual relationship with someone or something. It means that you want to trust your thoughts and feelings. From the aspect of religion faith moves us closer to God, who is always close with believers. To trust again and have faith it is a powerful way to change behaviors and begin the process of bringing God into people’s everyday life. Faith is a power which gives you hope on something better.
I think even those who deny that they believe in something because “it is so stupid”, in fact have a belief. This denial is something a matter of environment and fashion. I heard many times utterances like “I don’t believe in God – everything depends only on the person” from those people who are afraid of returning home (returning is omen of misfortune), who put a coin in their boots when they take the exam, who don’t whistle, because they worry about their material welfare.
Having faith means that you want to trust your thoughts and feelings...I like this phrase and it really made me think a lot about whom and why you trust with your thoughts. Sometimes you don't want to share some things with your family or friends but you feel that you can't keep them inside yourself anymore, and maybe exactly in this situation you appeal to God or to some other supernatural power that in your opinion can help you, or at least will make you feel better. Religion is something that first of all helps us be in harmony and peace with ourselves...
Your message made me stop for some time and think it over. I think you are completely right. There are things we don't want to share with anybody. We are afraid to hurt, to offend, to bother or have some other reasons. But they don't work with the God. We are not afraid. We can easily confess. Pray. Ask for help. Strong people don't like to ask for help because it's a sign of weakness. but God is another idea. Nobody will know. And you won't have any "debts" then.
