Though a few people can play these instruments nowadays, Russian people don't forget russian traditions and let this kind of music survive to the present days. One of the most famous kind of music now is classical music. Such russian composers like Glinka, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Rakhmaninov and Shostakovich are known all over the world. You can hear their music in many operas, ballets: "Swan Lake", "Sleeping Beauty", "Ruslan and Lyudmila" and others. All russian people try to see them. Morden music is popular in Russia now too. People listen to different kinds of music: rock (Amatory, Zveri), rap/hip hop (Kasta, Guf) and pop music (Fabrika, Bilan). Electronic music is growing in popularity nowadays. You can hear house, trance music in Russians clubs, a lot of young people listen to drum and bass, tectonik. Music is an important new export of Russian culture but writers are doing well, too. In the past Russia has produced some of the best writers and poets: L.Tolstoy, F.Dostoevsky, A.Pushkin, M.Lermontov,S.Esenin, V.Mayakovsky and others. More recently, people began reading different detectives by D.Dontsova and A.Marinina. But they don't forget classical literature. Not to be left out, the russian film scene is in good shape as well. There are a lot of good Russian movies: "The 9th company", "Tricks", "Back to the future" and others. But even now people watch such Soviet comedies like "An operation Y and other adventures of Shurik", "Ivan Vasilievich is changing his profession", "Caucasian captive", "The official romance" and other wonderful movies.
