The Krolls are a quartet from St Petersburg, named Discovery of the Year in 2007 by Russia’s version of Rolling Stone. Kroll is a magic character, something between between rabbits (Russian "Кролики") and trolls. The members of the band say they play FrenchElectroAlcoPop. It’s a positive combination of musical experiments, carried out by Anton Tulsky (the author of the music) and the touching voice of Masha Andreychikova (vocals). The band also includes Victor Sankov (bass-guitar), who managed to take part in numerous projects of Far East and Saint-Petersburg (Segodnyanochyu, Roninbeat). Sergey Gorun plays trombone, he used to play raggey music , but couldn’t resist revolving "kroll” energy. The Krolls are always lucky:they had their first gig in Aprill 2007 and their debute CD was released by "Mysteriya" in November 2007. They have made their name in Moscow and continue the tour around differnet citites of Russia and Europe. The danceable indie-pop band with French-language lyrics is always welcomed both in small clubs and at big festivals like "Stereoleto 2008" and "Usad'ba Jazz". This is a young, positive, and obviously unique band. The Krolls are undoubtedly a real discovery on the Petersburg indie scene.
