I was in Yasnaya Polyana that is near Tula. It is the most fascinating place I have ever seen. I wandered with a surprised kind of amazement. What an innocent province, peaceful and charming. It’s difficult to have a good look at it in the pictures as the pictures distort an image and reality. If you have an opportunity, don’t lose it. Grasp it by no means. It was very interesting and instructive at the same time to learn more about Leo Nicholayevich Tolstoy and his life. Can you imagine that it was normal in times past to have thirteen children?
